This is a handwritten letter from Allen J. Sutherland to his parents, signed "Bud." The letter is written on a single sheet of plain cream-colored paper. It was written while Bud was still stationed at Camp Barkeley, Texas, but was planning to be moved soon. He talks about Fort Benning, and his hope to be moved there and take classes rather than move to Louisiana where the weather is harsher at this time of year. He briefly discusses their military maneuvers, mostly mentioning the food and weather conditions rather than actual military information. |
