This is a handwritten letter from Allen J. Sutherland to his parents, signed "Bud." The letter is written on a single sheet of plain paper. It was written while Bud was stationed at Camp Barkeley in Texas. He mentions that he was looking for a chiropractor for a treatment, but could not find one. He also states that he will be moving to Shreveport, Louisiana eventually, but for now they are preparing for a maneuver three days away from Camp Barkeley. He mentions that the paper in Gillette has it recorded incorrectly that he moved to Fort Benning. Finally, he mentions a package that he received from the Legion and Auxiliary. |
