Digital scan of a typed family history of the Ricks family. The family history starts with Bridget Ann (Ryan) Ricks and her marriage to James B. "Jim" Ricks, their work and life before moving to Gillette in 1892, homesteading, their life in Gillette, the death of their son Jimmy Ricks, James "Jim" Ricks' time as the Sheriff in Gillette (in Crook County at that time), and the death of James "Jim" Ricks in 1935. The article ends with the description of Mrs. Ricks' pioneer spirit and western fortitude. This was written after the death of James B. "Jim" Ricks (December 22, 1935), but prior to the death of Bridget Ann Ricks (January 14, 1946). |
