This is a handwritten letter from Allen J. Sutherland to his parents, signed "Bud." The letter is written on a single sheet of plain paper. It was written while Bud was stationed at Camp Barkeley in Texas. He mentions that they are about to leave from Camp Barkeley for two months, but plan to return on March 28th, 1943. He discusses the possibility of sending post cards home to Gillette in place of letters. He also informs his parents what they need to do with his tax forms--send them to "Irene" who is most likely Irene Sutherland. Finally, he mentions the weather and the poor state of the food. |
