Handwritten letter from Laura Lindsey in Sheridan, Wyoming, to her son, Private First Class Kenneth Lindsey.The letter is dated August 28, 1945; at the time this was sent, Laura Lindsey had not yet received the news that her son was killed in action on December 14, 1944 at the Puerto Princessa Prison Camp in the Phillipines. In the letter, Mrs. Lindsey asks how Kenneth is and says that she hopes he will be home soon. She also mentions another son, Archie Lindsey, who is over in the Phillipines with the Army, as well as his wife Edna. |
