This is a flash unit, the Honeywell Tilt-A-Mite. It has a gray plastic body, and a gray shutter cord with a changeable metal connector. A metal plate is screwed onto the front to hold 14 sheets of metal, with an ejector plate directly behind them. The metal sheets fan out to the left (front view) to make a circular reflector. A metal locking ring and base plate at the bottom attach the device to a camera.

The back contains a colored list of settings, an on-off switch, and a clear plastic test button.One side has a removable panel for battery insertion. Matchbox - 2017.070.0149
The casing of the matchbox is a three-sided sheet of brasstone metal that is decorated with a Japanese motif over a black background on two sides, and Japanese calligraphy on the side. The insert directly below the metal is a plain, hollow wooden rectangle. A paper-covered wooden tray for holding matches was inserted, along with a wooden piece labeled "27.33 all" laying at the bottom of the wooden tray.
